Five Nights at Freddy's 4 is a horror-themed simulation game released on July 23, 2015, by Clickteam USA LLC. The game is the fourth in the Freddy series of games. It supports Android and iOS mobile devices.

Compared with the previous game, the player will no longer play a poor security guard, and no longer need to be responsible for monitoring the CCTV footage of a pizza restaurant or a haunted house. In this game, the player will play as a child and will be trapped in a dark home. Players will only carry a flashlight and avoid being attacked by animatronics in the room. Players need to successfully spend five nights in the game and complete several super bonus levels to achieve the final victory. The room the player is in has two doors, a wardrobe, and a bed. Players will need to keep checking them inside to protect themselves, as terrifying animatronics may be hiding there.

In the game, players need to repeatedly check the door of the room for problems. If you hear certain breathing sounds, you need to quickly close the door until those sounds go away. Players can also check corridors with flashlights to prevent animatronics from popping up. The player just repeats these same actions and survives to the next day. Of course, the longer the player survives, the faster the animatronics in the game. This is very challenging. If something crawls too close to the player, the twinkle in its eye will be game over for your player.

► Players need to listen carefully to footsteps and breathe in the various eerie jingles and background atmospheres, and at the same time, it is recommended that players wear headphones to play the game.

Five nights at Freddy’s 4 is an iconic horror game that consists numerous of jump scares and all the other horror elements. Compare to the third one, this newer general consists of better graphics and an overall more pleasant game experience.

This game consists of five 8-minute nights of staying in a room trying to survive and you should always be prepared with frequent jump scares. There are those creepy animatronic animals that will most definitely haunt you. So you want to stare at your surveillance camper and stop whatever is approaching you in a fast paste. You have to be determined enough to play this game!

Five Nights at Freddy’s is most definitely a masterpiece that quite frankly, I’m still quite scared to play along with. I have to stare out of a kid’s bedroom and there is darkness all around me. This new generation allows you to do more than stare at the surveillance camera or patrol near the pizza store. You are as a young teenager to protect yourself from the darkness and away from the creatures that live in the shadows.

The gameplay is quite similar to the previous generation and you can move from bed to any door in the room. Sometimes you can use a flashlight to shine in the area you want to see but you should always be wise about the flashlight.

One of the key features of this game is sound effects. Because you will always have to be able to capture the enemies’ breathing so you will be able to counterattack their strike. It’s one of the features that I like, but I don’t think that the fourth generation is all about to offer on the table. Well, if you get caught, the audio of being captured sometimes will creep you out. The point is that you never know when you will be captured. So this uncertainty added fun elements to the game. But I think the reason that video games are termed video games is mainly because it relies on video. So I would imagine it would be a total struggle for someone using a hearing aid or having trouble succeeding in this game. That’s why I said I think I always expected more from Five Nights at Freddy’s. The video quality and overall resolution are just like all the other generations and you would be surprised that this game got released in 2015 but still looks like it has 2006’s video resolution. And no real elements are being added to the game itself either. It’s all the same jump scare. People often time complain that they can’t tell the difference between the newest generation to the oldest. The game area that a player can explore is limited to a small room with the same tasks over and over. There’s no straight tutoríal or storyline which is significantly unfriendly toward the new players. I still remember the first time I played it, all I see on the screen is some number on the surveillance screen and I was so confused about what exactly to do. Also, the menu is so simple and there are only 4 options to choose from. I’m quite confused on why the game developers don’t allow the players to adjust to their preference on the game when it’s a game made in 2015.

Overall, I like how I got jump scare and this game is teenager friendly with nothing inapposite but I think this generation will most definitely need more work to capture players’ taste. I would recommend you to try out this game although there are quite a lot of flaws in my opinion.
